Shaken But Not Stirred

We just weathered a minor earthquake tremor today. It was the second one I have experienced since I have been here. I don’t think it lasted more than 10 seconds. It was pretty mild but a little stronger than the last one. The earthquake was probably around a 3 on the Richter scale – felt but no damage. The music across from the Mollepata Cultural Social Center stopped and many people filed out into the street in a panic. Five minutes later it was business as usual. I am told many of the locals leave their houses because they are made of clay. The walls and floors of our house appear to be made of concrete so we are a little more fortunate.
